Guest Seminar on Qualitative Research Methods

Are you passionate about qualitative research methods?  

The LEARN Logistics by Kühne Foundation (KF) in collaboration with the University of Nairobi, have organized a guest seminar on qualitative research methods to be delivered by Dr. Simon Peter Nadeem, a Senior Program Manager at LEARN Logistics by Kühne Foundation.

The aim is to empower young Africans improve their skills in qualitative research.   The seminar is scheduled to take place on 7th August 2026 at 8.4.4 Building, Department of Agricultural Economics in Upper Kabete, starting at 8 am. The seminar will cover topics on Foundations of Qualitative Research; Research Design and Data Collection; Qualitative Analysis and Rigour and; Tools for Qualitative Research and the Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI).  

Who can apply All undergraduate students awaiting graduation and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Nairobi.

Participation costs The Centre will only meet the costs of the guest lecturer. Therefore, selected participants will be expected to meet their own costs of participating in this program including writing materials, travel and meals.  

Application documents  Application documents to be submitted should include:  

1. Hand signed motivation letter of not more than 1 page, written in Times New Romans, font size 12 and single spaced  

2. Letter from the Chairman of your department confirming that you are a current student at the University of Nairobi admitted to any of the target faculties’ programs

3. Curriculum vitae (CV) that should include contact addresses of two referees
