Collaboration With Thomas More University, Belgium

University of Nairobi,  Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, and Thomas More University, Belgium  are working on joint collaboration that will be beneficial to the two universities. 

Leading the delegation from the University of Nairobi to discuss areas of collaboration. was Dean of the Faculty, Prof Muranga Njihia and the Dr. Thomas Ombati, Chairman, Department of Management Science and Project Planning.

Of interest for both Thomas More and UoN is staff and student exchange programs whereby lecturers and students from each University would visit the other for a period of one semester to learn the culture and see a different perspective of life. 

Other areas of collaboration between the two Universities Business Schools will be joint research and joint grant applications, participation in each institution conferences and international week, support and mentorship of entrepreneurs, Cooperation in academic programs, internship for students in the two countries etc

Before visiting the Faculty, we had made a courtesy call to the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium based in Nairobi, Kenya (Limuru Road). There we held discussions with Ms Machteld Cattrysse (Head of Missions) discussions on the collaborations, visa applications and areas which the embassy can support.

 Collaborations between Universities is an area that is being supported to help students appreciate various cultures and start-ups of entrepreneural businesses.
