 A team of lecturers and students from the Department of Management Science and Project Planning  led by the chairman, Dr. Thomas Ombati toured  of the SGR operations and maintenance on Tuesday,24th May, 2022.  The  team discussed potential areas of collaboration between the University of Nairobi and AFRISTAR  like research, student internship, industrial talks, joint case studies as well as training and consultancy.

The Department of Management Science and Project Planning will host a webinar on "Transformational Role of Data in Project Design, Planning and Implementation on Friday 6th May 2022 at 2pm.

The panelist are: Prof. Gituro Wainaina, Prof. Charles Rambo, Prof. James Njihia, and Dr. Thomas Ombati. The session will be moderated by Dr. Isaac Mbuya and Dr. Joyce Otieno.

Department of Management Science hosted a Summer School programme. The Summer School is the collaboration between Rwanda and Kenya that promote social enterprises and pursue social or ecological goals while striving for financial independence. Both Rwanda and Kenya are among Africa’s most dynamic economies and exhibit strong economical growth (Afdb, 2019) however both countries are subject to challenges that could overcome through social enterprises.
